Bill Cromwell, a transplant from Buffalo, New York, began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Chatham County. His trial work consisted of the prosecution of those accused of felonies. He left Savannah to work with Mike Bowers as an Assistant Attorney General representing the Georgia Department of Transportation in major road design and construction tort cases. These cases involved allegations of improper road design and construction failures as it relates to the trucking industry and to the consumer who relies on proper road build and sign design. This complex litigation generally involved multiple plaintiffs and multiple defendants fighting over multiple causes of actions, including wrongful death. Eventually Bill Cromwell went into private practice with the law firm of Gillen, Cromwell and Withers, where he specialized in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and motor carrier liability. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Cromwell & Hibbert.
